[M]ost of the pastas hover around $25. This ought to be enough to buy bucatini that is cooked on both ends. -- Pete Wells on Caravaggio ( * review)
Tonight, there was a dessert of coconut, rhubarb, and black olive. Obvious in its execution how innovation and experiment, when introduced for their own sake, are annoying. --irnscrabblechf52, May 9, 2013
notorious stickler -- NY Times
deeply annoying and nitpicking -- Molly O'Neill, One Big Table

There are a lot of trips available..and I haven't a clue as to what might be "best." "Best" to me means pretty scenery, history, and of course good food. We'd probably bring 2 friends so I could bike along and have a break from driving ( which is not difficult but can get tedious for 1 guy.)
Weather is not really a factor, though I don't want to freeze to death..50f+ is fine.
Looks interesting and I still need to do some research but if anyone has done something like this, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

OMG--you here in June? There has been talk that my chorus may be invited to perform the Bach Mass in B Minor in Mexico City in June with the National Symphony Orchestra. There's also a chance that it will be all (or most) expenses paid.
...and us in France, Italy, and Greece for five weeks...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
On the other hand, if you will be performing at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, you will completely blown away by its beauty.
The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Ah, drat. I was looking forward to seeing you again and having some wonderful food. The concert is supposed to be at the Palacio, but it's still not a given that my chorus will actually be going.OMG--you here in June?

I have. We did the Canal de Garonne in France last summer. We didn't use LeBoat, but they were EVERYWHERE. The Garonne was awesome but lots of locks. Good cycling alongside, as well.Anyone ever used this tour agency...LeBoat.com? They rent fairly small, boats through various canal trips in Europe. The boats are easy to run and a captain is not necessary..self captain; although a cap and crew are available.
