You got awfully chatty after the Yankees finally won a couple.
Seriously, blame work and Beatles band. I actually haven't seen a pitch thrown yet.

Fending off Adrian is almost a full time job in itself.

Next time I'm in New York, we should all grab smoked meat sandwiches, listen to The Beatles, and watch the Mets play. It'll be a grand old time.

The Smoked Meat sandwiches cost more than the tickets. I heard the Mets were selling some tickets yesterday for as little as $2.50.
And, given the game they played, barely worth it.

There's a chute under that box that leads directly to a giant dumpster.Reminds me of the time I tried to give away philosophy books I'd only acquired for college courses.

In Park Slope there's a pleasant neighborhood tradition of book adoption. You place your old books by the railing of your brownstone and passers by scan the titles and adopt the ones they want to read. People put them out on Saturday mornings and by the middle of Sunday afternoon they're gone.
Except for my neighbor who put out her graduate level sociology books. Just walking past those things was dangerous. It was the equivalent of the Siren Song of Stupefaction. It made you want to go to sleep right there on the sidewalk. She put out about 15 of them on a sunny Saturday in May. She picked up the same 15 volumes on Sunday night and put them in the trash.

A-Rod went 0-4 with no RBIs. He's got 1 for the year. And he's hitting .226.
ETA - The Mets are 6-2. We may want to save all the choice "the Mets suck" jokes until they actually start sucking. I've got no doubt that they'll come back to earth soon enough but I think they may be a .500 team. Maybe a bit better.

So, Wright is trending downwards to oblivion, and A-Rod is trending up for a spectacular season?

Wright wasn't going to hit .588 for the season. He's coming back to earth but still hitting well. Rodriguez, OTOH, is really struggling except with his bank account. He's earning $30 million this year, about twice as much as Jeter and Cano.
