I'm completely aware and truly grateful for the brouhaha (sp?). It's true. I do like walks on the beach, blah, blah, blah. But I am a food whore at heart and I don't know about 679 posts, but I'd happily offer myself up to review any restaurant you'd deem worthy. Any takers? And the mouthfuls link was a technical oversite (thanks for pointing it out) as I read daily, but never thought I should get involved personally. Alas, this is much more fun...

[M]ost of the pastas hover around $25. This ought to be enough to buy bucatini that is cooked on both ends. -- Pete Wells on Caravaggio ( * review)
Tonight, there was a dessert of coconut, rhubarb, and black olive. Obvious in its execution how innovation and experiment, when introduced for their own sake, are annoying. --irnscrabblechf52, May 9, 2013
notorious stickler -- NY Times
deeply annoying and nitpicking -- Molly O'Neill, One Big Table

Blushing is wasted on this crowd. Rancho Gordo, Grant and Tana respond to flashing.

I'm glad you're a good sport. But you do see how it looks when you come on and post once and it's self-promoting. You need to be like me and promote yourself each and every day!
Wait a minute, that sounds familiar. Am I repeating something already stated upthread?![]()

Telemarketing is still telemarketing whether you like the product or not.Well, as to whether there is self-promotion or not, that depends on whether the description sought to be advanced is viewed as positive or negative, no? Something that a given reader sees as self-promotional could be viewed as other than that by another reader.
