Good news: A-Rod gets two hits and two walks, putting him ahead of David Wright in the pool.

No, the contest is about RBIs. The Yankees scored 6 runs. A-Rod drove in none of them. The Mets, OTOH, scored 1 run. Wright drove it in.Mariano blows first game of season. Let the "over the hill" debate ensue.
Good news: A-Rod gets two hits and two walks, putting him ahead of David Wright in the pool.
If the contest was about meaningless number hanging, A-Rod would be a shoe in.

Alex Rodriguez tied Ken Griffey Jr. for fifth place on the all-time homer list with No. 630
An opening pitch by Jorge, and Kuroda not giving up a run. Satisfactory day.
ETA: If David Wright continues at his current rate of production, when he has played as long as A-Rod he will be 47th on the list with 411 HRs. But perhaps he has not yet reached his full potential as a slugger.

But on the Che Guevara highway filling up with gasoline
Fidel Castro's brother spies a rich lady who's crying
Over luxury's dissapointment
So he walks over and he's trying
To sympathize with her, but thinks that he should warn her
That the Thirld World is just around the corner

Three home runs in ten games? He's playing like a kid right now.

Last night he threw 38 straight strikes enroute to beating the Angels 6-0. He's already 3-1 this year with a 2.63 ERA.

I miss him. What a great story he was last year and it looks like he's still rolling along.
