Any recommendations? We'll be in and around Donegal a week and then to Dublin.

There are several Ireland threads in the Rest of Europe forum:
Ireland generally
Galway
Cork
The Republic, of course, is not in the UK; Northern Ireland is.

Well, we could have separate forums for Italy and Elsewhere in Europe, but the Republic of Ireland would still be in the latter. I have no objection to a forum for the Republic of Ireland itself. Would that be a good idea? It's at best inaccurate to discuss it under the UK (and at worst will really annoy some people).
ah, but you still drive on the left... and isn't it geographically, historically, etc. closer then Italy or the the Rest of?
and possibly why the original post appeared here?
(don't mean to offend anyone just a bit of devil's advocate)

It would be a bit like including Poland in Germany, if I may offer an example.
or Russia, or Austro-Hungarian Empire, from which good culinary things came, by the way
pick on somebody else, I didn't start this thread on this forum

i still don't understand why the one london/uk forum is in a category unto itself. why not a category for "the u.k and europe" and just place all the various european country forums in there?
