Pip Brennan didn't post bond yesterday, so the stay of foreclosure was lifted. The pink building is now the property of Leggo/4- an ownership group that includes Terry White. In 2009 he and another group of investors bought the majority interest Galatoire's from the Galatoire family. It will be interesting to see if Leggo/4 comes to terms with the branch of the Brennan family that owns the Brennan's Restaurant concept.

I think if you cook collards using the 1:1:1 method they're really great - one pound bacon, one head garlic, one leaf collard.lol. that is the perfect proportion
Y'all need to try my collards. Once I convince folks they have to at least try a forks worth, I've never had these "Official Collard Haters" not go back for a full serving ![]()

Too many! Had several Lovers Quarrels, Old Scout Bourbons and Delilahs, all delicious.
If we are talking about the same guy (longish hair and goatee?) he was infusing vodka with a type of lilac flower one afternoon. Had a taste the next night. Just a hint of a lavendar taste.
Yes, that's him. Glad you enjoyed the cocktails. I'll pass that on.
I am pretty sure he was infusing that vodka with sweet olive flowers he'd picked
--unless he also got some lavender and made a separate batch of that.
No you are right, that's the stuff. I think he said he picked them off a bush at a construction site. Tasted a bit like lavender I thought.
He was really excited about the way the infusion came out. Too bad the season for the flowers is so short.
