Aaron T-
I think you're talking about Saladang and Saladang Song on Fair Oaks.  I've eaten at Saladang SOng several times, and have had great food.

oops, I just noticed Hollywood already replied to you

We gave ours away after a few months -- fingerprints were annoying, it's harder to swirl the wine, harder to hold the glass, and makes chilled wine warm up too quickly (from the heat of your hand). Not for me -- but I have friends who love them.

I know this post is about Laguna, but since you mention Pasadena...do you know any good French places there?  I'll be moving there in April.  Thanks!

I'm trying to think.  Bistro 45 has fans and detractors.  It's Cal French.  Xiomara is Cuban but has French touches.  Some folks like the fact that Cafe Bisou is cheap, which relatively speaking it is, but the quality varies.  Let me meditate on this.  There's a crepe place in Old Town I have never tried.  I think there are one or two fairly new places in South Pas that might fill your needs.  Right now, Pasadena is awash in wine bars some of which do have French munchies.
The best French pastry in Pas is at Europane, which is sort of a salon de the (though more with coffee) but it doesn't do dinner.

I've tried Cafe Bisou -- the food was OK, I wasn't blown away, but I did like the low corkage fee (I think it's 2-3 dollars?).  How are the wine bars?  Where is Europane?  Do they have good baguettes?
