Going to the Sheep and Wool Festival, I take it. Me too.I did a quick google, and came up with a website listing restaurants / bars, etc in the area. No personal experience with any of these, so I'm not adding much to the analysis.
Howard County Grub
Of those restaurants on that website, I'd suggest going to the Iron Bridge Wine Company. I don't believe they serve entrees, per se, but you can get a handful of tasty small plates, some cheese and so forth while sampling good wines in a relaxing atmosphere. I like the place.
Otherwise, head over to Ellicott City. They have some decent if somewhat unimaginative restaurants in their historic downtown area. If you haven't been to Ellicott City, it's worth a couple of hours to walk around, grab a coffee, window shop, etc.
