Hi Gordon, long-time-no-chat,

Not sure if you're going to be in the area anytime soon, but Scaramouche (Toronto),is highly recommended by Chefs in the area. Peller Estates Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake has a great rep too.
Just thought I'd throw some options out there for ya.

...I tried a very new thing for me, in the Asian cuisine field....roasted eel with spinach rice vermicelli, with 2 dipping sauces; wasabi and lemon vest-cream, the other was, tangerine-pomegrante...it was GREAT!!!
