I'd welcome opinions on Chef Jon's Authentic Chinese Cuisine, in Whippany. We have been to Chengdu 1 in Cedar Grove three or four times, and have been pleased. We will be staying about midway between these two restaurants.

Menu looks boilerplate "Chinese American" to me.  Here's a much more "Authentic" menu, the stuff that Chinese folks eat in China.

This is not popular in the US, not stuff we are used to.  But the discussion is about "Authentic".  

I think they'll be on adjacent blocks, which is part of the uproar.

 

I've been quite pleased with how the Little Falls shop-rite has cleaned up its game with the new Fairway literally across the street.  They've made major improvements in the place.

Interesting.  As you've said, the S & S around here are also quite dead compared to SR.  I do give S&S the edge in cleanliness, though.  Their Dumont & Emerson stores are immaculate.

In America, (as elsewhere) money talks.  Inserra has a lot of it.  Still prefer Glass ShopRites.  Only about 5 of those, though. 

Are these 2 supermarkets going to be adjacent to each other?  That would be quite unusual in NJ...

Is Elisa Ung coming back?  I know she was on maternity leave.  (Or is that like "Closed for renovations"?)
