Must confess I had a different experience there.  After making the trek down there, tried the chicken satay, roti canai, fried chicken, coconut rice, and some Singapore noodles.  Maybe a different chef was on duty?  Anyway, the roti canai was good, but my friend and I couldn't finish the other dishes (found them to be dry, tough, not crispy, sour, unappetizing etc)  Maybe we caught them on a bad night (Sat night 7pm?) Did like the salted lemon (kalamansi) drink, but that was about it.  They did offer us some red bean/coconut cream dessert and tea afterwards fwiw.  I like to support small Mom & Pop places, but...I hope you have a better experience there.

I think there have been threads before debating the worthiness of Wild Ginger.  I might agree that there are more authentic versions of Asian food than Wild Ginger, but without knowing more about the OP's clients or business associates, I doubt the OP is looking to take people on a celebratory business lunch or dinner who are not as adventurous as us to a hole in the wall in the I district when Wild Ginger is so convenient.  Sometimes it's about the total package (ambience, service, wine, parking, convenience, variety of food for all tastes, etc) and pleasing the group, rather than about gratifying our own taste buds (as it is for most of us).  I"m not sure Seven Stars Pepper, Tamarind Tree, Malay Satay hut etc are suitable for these types of occasions, or would be considered to be worth the trek to I-district in the eyes of everybody in their group.

DId Salumi disappear while I was looking the other way?  There seems to be some construction where it used to be...unless i'm confused...

If your minions are in the mood for pan-Asian, there is Wild Ginger.  Troiani (N Italian) is another possibility.

Ditto on the bone marrow, i like the accompanying brioche box with foie, chanterelles, veal jus and onion (a nice "play" on the bone with marrow inside).  I would avoid the halibut (overcooked); the sea urchin sauce it came in was good, but a bit weak on sea urchin.
