Wine Spectator has a nice article on wines in the greater Seattle area. In addition ot the Tasting Center at the Public Market, there are several garage wineries in the immediate area, and many other wineries within an hour's drive.

Willows Lodge is mentioned as a base of operations for touring, with its luxury setting, Herbfarm Restaurant, and central location.

Not a bad article, but it ignores that there is another whole group of wineries just a ferry ride (and a little drive) way from the city: North Sound Wineries. Some are very good, some not so much, but nearly all have scenic locations.

The other miss in the article is McCrea Cellars, by far Washington's best producer of Rhone varietals. Not typically open for tours/tasting, but if you call their business office they will often arrange a tasting for you in Seattle.
It may have been Camelot for Jack and Jacqueline
But on the Che Guevara highway filling up with gasoline
Fidel Castro's brother spies a rich lady who's crying
Over luxury's dissapointment
So he walks over and he's trying
To sympathize with her, but thinks that he should warn her
That the Thirld World is just around the corner
