...although Jets fans are second class New Yorkers they're still New Yorkers...

Lets crank up the Wayback Machine to the day after the Superbowl.

Lookee here!

NFC East:

1. Eagles
2. Cowboys
3. Giants
4. Redskins

If you prick a Giants fan's finger he bleeds chardonnay.

Had you read the rest of the post, you'd see that I am now predicting the pundits will pick:

1. Eagles
2. Cowboys
3. Redskins
4. Giants

What the Jets did today is beyond comprehension. Forget all the Tebow hype, they are paying a guy $2 million for maybe 5 plays a game and is incapable of actually replacing the starting QB if needed.

Linsanity.

Yes, where did that go?

The bargain bin.

Poor New Orleans. So much for the feel-good story of the century.

Because Stone and all the pundits will be predicting

NFC East:

1. Eagles
2. Cowboys
3. Giants
4. Redskins

unless Washington moves up and gets Griffin when they'd be favored over the Giants too.

Told you so.

I'm not going to argue with that, but Sanchez's game is sufficiently fragile that a lot of people will insist he can.

The only good thing to potentially come out of this for Jet fans is if Tebow beats the crap out of Santonio Holmes.

Right before my eyes the Jets are turning into the NY version of Dan Snyder's Washington Redskins. Splashy but stupid moves galore. Unless this is some devious acquire-him-trade-him-immediately move it looks like the Jets will wander in the Sinai for another 5 years. At least.

Tebow to the Jets for a fourth round pick.

That is awful. Just awful.

Considering the alternative was Namath, it's not so bad.

This could be the Jets "out" after seeing the fan reaction over the last few hours.

Don't think they want out. The controversy will sell tickets and merch. And what if Tebow actually plays well?

Then that happened.
