Michaeli Bakery's are very good.

 

Poppy and apple today.  They also had chocolate, as well as halva.

This year I made OGs - some filled with apricot, others with prune; gingerbread apricot, and chocolate halvah. They came out spectacularly ugly this year for some reason, but it didn't distract from the taste. 

 

Savory hamentaschen have been the rage for several years. I had some good ones with an olive oil sesame seed dough with a mushroom filling.

Yes I saw the savory ones.

I saw them because Roger Clark was doing his annual NY1 report from there like the Groundhog he is. Every year the same.

Nope, not on board with the savory hamentashen.  Even Nutella is iffy in my book, but then again I only eat plain or sesame bagels.
