We had a very good dinner here with a couple of excellent new (to me) dishes - one was a pork blood and rice thing in the manner of morcilla de burgos (khao kan jin), but wrapped in banana leaf and served with thai toppings. Another a whole roasted rock fish that had been seasoned with curry paste, perfectly cooked (I can see how folks may find it upsetting that some menus say $45 while others say $50, as does the check). I can't recommend the service during early Saturday dinner crush - they're nice, but then you find yourself with five plates simultaneously on your two top and nobody even thinks that's wrong. The cocktails and wine list continue to be excellent (had a sparkling riesling from von schubert / maximin g. that was spot on for spicy food)

Wow, and that's going to be some change at Nahm...

Pim is taking over as chef at Nahm in Bangkok.
Oops, I started a new thread. Feel free to delete
Coincidentally I will be in Bangkok in close proximity to Nahm in the very near future
"Finally something intelligent."

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that if Pim is in Bangkok while we're in San Francisco a week from Sunday, Kin Khao will be as good as it was for our first two meals there.
