Can you get a sandwich and root beer for $20? Maybe it can be my last stop before heading to the airport, although I think it might be a fair distance from where I'll be staying.

Just walked past. Didn’t realize it was across from Crif. I’ll have to stop in this weekend.

Wait, isn't it a block to the west of Crif Dogs?

Yes, just across 1st Ave heading west, look out for Theater 80 St Marks.  It is almost across from the Holiday Cocktail Lounge.

Is there a place inside where we can sit down and eat?

Yes, there is the William Barnacle Tavern attached to Foxface, which also serves as the bar for the Theater and for the Museum of the American Gangster.

This is a little wonderland, believe me.

It will be nice to walk a sandwich to the park when the weather improves.

Foxface window to the left of the Tavern doors, and you can order from Foxface inside too.

As Wilfrid mentioned, it is a three ring circus in there, and will be so for a while. If you plan to come let me know in advance so I can make sure there's room.

Next Wed-Sun - Civet de Lievre sandwiches.

Can you just leave the bread? Oy.

Both breads I tried were great, by the way: brioche and ideal-for-Cubano/banh mi crispy.

I was thinking of a Cubano-like thing, but the Banh Mi-like thing will come first.

Until then though, those lievre sandwiches are there starting 1pm today, rain, snow, or yellow snow.
