orik will be thrilled to see that i have finally posted my review of this place. in short: high concept, somewhat gimmicky food that felt like the kitchen was trying too hard. a pity as the base cooking was pretty good.

bonus question about the seeming lack of south asian faces in the front of house of these mod/fancy indian places (at least on the east coast): i saw no south asian servers at adda, baar baar or bombay bread bar; very few at rasika the previous week.

my annoying opinions: whisky, food and occasional cultural commentary

current restaurant review: house of curry (sri lankan in rosemount, mn)

current whisky review: glen ord 28

current recipe: white bean curry with green peppers

facts are meaningless. you could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

That sounds not great, if not as bad as I'd imagine it would be, but I'll keep turning right on that block.

Does the colorful female wall decor refer to some famous modern place in India? Asking because Khiladi (which I mentioned as yet another mod Indian I walked by recently) also has a similar decor element.
