I really liked Chef Aiken during the month or so he was at The Peacock.

Someone on Instagram asked if it was like Danube, which was a smart question. I think that’s a good comparison in terms of the proffer.

But it's really less "inventive", right?  It's not trying to be a Great Restaurant serving "original" chefy food, but a Café.  Right?

Unlike some other recently opened higher end restaurants they seem to have done a lot of work sourcing some older wines for their list. Prices are high but not crazy.

I think my better half would REALLY like this place. Someone posted pictures of the cakes on IG today...delicioua Though to go along with the other thread it there's basically nothing between 530 and 9 for the next 3 weeks.

If ever there was a restaurant that fulfilled its proffer, it's this one.  It does what it sets out to do -- and no more -- beautifully.
