I have to say that "Spanish restaurant in Asheville" is not a proffer that fills me with excitement.

But Katie Button's food is EXCELLENT (much better than Leña, to pick the nearest NYC equivalent).

BUT could the service at Chefs' Club be any worse?  Makes you think of Casey Stengel's famous line.

On two visits (pre-Katie), service at a table was comical...much better at the counter, but that was a while ago.

I thought about bringing my own waitstaff there, in the style of bringing your bread to Katz's.

Our meal at Nightbell, her other Asheville restaurant (since closed), was excellent 3 years ago.

Sneak - do they have their full wine list or just the really unappealing Spanish selection from the event website?

Actually they do, and on it there are better Spanish wines too.

Sometimes shipping container cuisine is better than ernestos.
