$15 for an ostrich egg probably gets you three omelets. Bargain!
-
No, nor asparagus, although there were asparagus pix on their IG.

I got ramps for $5 a couple of weeks ago ($6 seems reasonable also), and Quattro Game Farm had eggs for $7.50.

You would have been missed.

I don't know where I'd be without the market. So grateful to him!

On the (very) off-chance that any of y'all are familiar with my old pals Alice Donut, they have reunited after many years and are playing at Brooklyn Monarch this Friday (4/25) and Saturday (4/26). I will be there both nights, probably dressed inappropriately for my age.

Thank you! I'll see if we can make that work!

We have a reservation for Varoulko, which better be good, 'cause it will coincide with me entering a new decade, and who knows how many of those I have left.

I knew that, but I'm still confused by "dank."

I survived the seder at my parents' house yet again. My job, as always, is to make the charoset. I was hoping to bring the leftovers home, but my mother left it out of the fridge overnight so...I did not.

Upstairs Downstairs was a big deal in my family when I was a kid.

Are you hearing that as well? Maybe I'll start the ball rolling.

It is my job to be around college students, so I have a front row seat for every catch phrase that briefly takes hold of them. A while back it was "A-mazing," to describe everything. With a mandatory pause between the first and second syllable of the word.
Then it was "slay," to convey admiration. "I just got new shoes." "Slay."
Now it's "fair," an expression of understanding and agreement. "I'm not inviting her, 'cause she never shows up." "Fair."

I have not been aware of this, but now that you've called my attention to it, I expect to go ahead and hear it everywhere.

Definitely duck eggs at USQ. Also pheasant. Not sure about today, but recently.
