    NFL 2010

NY Jets are being admonished for less than gentlemenly behavior when this reporter for mexican television channel decided to hang out in the locker room. I cant imagine what they were so excited about, and in her defense, she was not wearing the bikini in the locker room, but rather her usual professional attire:
  2. totally agree that the carte is better way to go in France.
  3. his twitter feed is highly recommended. But BSU won because Va Tech was terrible in execution. After the first quarter and ex-a terrible defensive play call BSU really didn't do much offensively correct, BS needed every bit of their deceptive play calling, etc., but in the end if Va Tech had not made so many mistakes they would've caught BS in the second half and gone on to win the game. scary that they had five months to prepare for this game and made such a poor showing. It sounds like BS runs a very similar offense to that of Bobby Petrino
  4. Boise State still has to beat Oregon State. yes, the system is a joke. we need a playoff that works within the existing bowl system.
  5. No reason to hate on Boise State. Bad or close calls go both ways. That's not why Va Tech lost. They lost because they played much of the game like a sack of shit. Moments of their true ability were interrupted by long stretches of mediocrity and bone-head mistakes. The Boise boys wring every last bit out of their potential. The Hokies should be embarrassed. Now, Boise State only has one more game they have to win.
  6. If you didn't, you should have. I find nothing in The Meat Buyer's Guide from the North American Meat Processors Association to indicate that any cut of the beef tenderloin (whole tenderloin #189 through 192; portion cuts #1189 through 1190C) has a bone; nothing but muscle, with or without fat and silverskin. And there is no standard for what is popularly referred to as "filet mignon" (aka petite filet, aka tenderloin steak). Which all means that those establishments could be taking some lesser cut that includes a bone and passing it off as higher-price-fetching "filet mignon." They're
  7. Alabama will have a one loss season. It will be interesting to see what Kelly can do at Notre Dame. If LSU doesnt turn it around, someone will be out of a job. There is a lot of parity in the SEC this year. Spurrier and Petrino need to seize the opportunity to do something more with their programs.
  8. I just drove the Southern Tier Thruway (SR 17/I-86) from Jamestown to Ithaca. too bad I missed the brew. The road is in horrible shape by the way.
  9. leverage is cheap and PE guys have funds to invest on one hand, and want to take profits on a pre-bubble home run deal on the other. It really is that simple. Just in time for the chain's fancy new broilers
  10. Ron, Good...back to issues we are facing! Any thoughts as to what you feel will need to change so that it will get better? time.
  11. ok, let's look forward . . . the economy will be bad for a while, and then it will get better. ok, where is my honorary degree from UT?
  12. well, I can see why Professor Leeds is such an asset to the University of Texas. it takes real economic prowess to read between the lines of Bernanke's speech in order to realize that the economy is in the shitter. bravo.
  13. The more confusing you make a case, the less likely you will get a verdict in your favor. The prosecution failed to keep it simple and turned an easy conviction into a hung jury. The defense had to be loving it.
  14. Not sure what is so special about 1,000 degrees? My wood burning oven will easily reach that temp, but the best pizzas result from a dome temp of 800-900 degrees with a floor temp no lower than 650-700. 1,000 degrees works too, but the whole point is that you are basically baking a flatbread, which needs to occur very quickly at high temp in order to achieve the best texture. My best pizzas are the ones that bake between 90 seconds and 2 minutes with one turn in the middle. But, Ron. a thousand degrees sounds so much better than 900 degrees. Considering the number of Domino's. etc p
  15. in his defense, he doesn't call the shots on the themes used for the episodes, and he is openly critical of many of them in retrospect: Sicily and Greece are both good examples.

  17. They tell you up front that all burgers are cooked to well done. yes, they are upfront and honest about overcooking the meat.
  18. Steak n' Shake does make a good burger, but it would be even better if they did not mash the pattie so violently on the griddle with the spatula while it is cooking. I must admit since I have a 9 year old whose diet consists mainly of hamburgers, I have become quite familiar with way too many burger chains.
  19. Five Guys makes a very mediocre burger. Almost always overcooked, and frequently tasting of grease. Also, the manner in which the burgers are constructed and readied for service allows them to lose a lot of heat, resulting in a lukewarm burger. That said, the toppings are always very fresh and tasty. The fries are terrible, too big, skin-on, soaked with oil, and lacking sufficinet crispness. The hot dog, on the otherhand, is really delicious.
  20. could not agree more, and it is getting close to a guideline violation.
  21. He gets credit for not killing the savages passengers the asshole who just couldn't wait to get his bag and called the attendant names totally deserved something. maybe being strapped to his seat while everyone gets off the plane before him According to a rumor now circulating throughout the internet, the "asshole" sitting in first class that couldn't wait to get down the bag and called the attendant a "motherfucker" was none other than [name deleted by admin]. can't say i believe internet rumors but i've been wondering why we haven't heard more about the passenger. normally m
  22. The woman behind me in line for coffee this morning. She stands maybe half an inch from my back, close enough that I can feel her breath on the back of my neck when she speaks, and then proceeds to have a very private telephone conversation at a volume above normal, indoor, speaking voice. I turned around several times to look at her like, "don't you see that I am less than one inch away from you and you are shouting your private business directly into my ears?" This did nothing to alter her behavior. What is wrong with people?
  23. The BLT Steak in the Betsy Hotel is one of the better restaurants in South Beach, certainly better than Prime 112 for steaks. I stay at that hotel, so I eat there once each trip down. It is consistently very good. I am not surprised that Laurent is not involved.
  24. I was just gifted an iPad 3G. That was quite unexpected.
