  1. Or maybe he recently spent some pocket money at A. Gold? (Think they sell 'em there)
  2. Zürich's holding its interest . . . seek and ye shall find. You do have to seek though. Must get back to Austin some time, I've had much fun there in the past.
  3. I'm truly terrible at pinball and do have reasonable vision, albeit with contacts.
  4. If you're having problems with the keyboard shortcuts, just go to the Grab menu. Under 'Capture' you have 'Selection', 'Window', 'Screen and Timed Screen'.
  5. Howard, your recollection may well be sharper than mine. Maybe we did get the Corona delivered with the milk. Long time ago. I do like the idea of a Corona float though . . . it probably involves ice cream. Here's a better link than the one I posted earlier. The advert reveals the truth that if you do drink too much orangeade, you will change colour, become spherical and require a lot of exercise.
  6. Print Screen gives you everything. Screen Hunter gives you the option of selecting an area of the screen or just the active window to capture. But my error, I thought Screenhunter offered a Mac version. It doesn't. Mac Grab does the active windows/partial screen stuff. Based on Mongo's and Stone's comments I don't think I'll be making the move any time soon. I work as a Windows engineer . . . have done for over ten years, at some very large firms. I moved to using a Mac at home about six years ago and am very glad I did. It's a joy to use compared to clunky old Windows. There are still major reasons to use Windows in a corporate setting, but for home use a Mac is hard to beat.

  8. What kind of Macbook? Usually there are methods for sorting this out even if the machine is turned off.
  9. Some prices are rising, some are falling. The UK government uses two different public measures RPI and CPI, but they also provide an online personal inflation calculator as they know that the results will be very different from individual to individual. I suspect this holds true for for companies as well.
  10. You can thank me later. Mac OS comes with an application called Grab. Navigate to the screen you want to capture. Open Grab. Select Capture --> Screen. Click on the screen outside the dialog box. Save file. You're welcome. Indeed. And on a Windows system (which I'm a bit ashamed to bring up in a Mac thread) what's wrong with 'Print Screen', C+P into Paint etc. ?
  11. Um . . . I think that you do want to click the 'change your network' option. Can you PM me a screenshot and I'll compare it to mine?
  12. The milk float in my area was also the Corona float. Cherryade was always my favourite. Corona limeade was much underated imo. 2.5p - big money - back on those big Corona bottles too. Nicely designed bottles too . . . and the classic fizzical characters . . . Corona advert (Not able to view that as at work, but I assume it's the right thing)
  13. I recently did the same thing with a Time Capsule and an Airport Express. I just reset the AE to default settings and then walked it through setup using the Airport Utility . . . you get the option to join a current network.

  15. It's a vee not a foif. Thanks!
