Notably, no one named Schnipper was involved with that cookbook.
  2. Shocked Gary was so low. But not.
  3. Now everybody reacts to the NYT restaurant reviews the way I always have. 😂
  4. Did I ever ask if @Steve R. had ever asked if he had ever mentioned this previously?
  5. "And I’m going to need some really cold ice… this may be asking too much."
  6. Suffice to say....you are right
  7. As others said....No problem. Just give yourself plenty of time to slack it and temper it before you need to bake the dough @bloviatrix

A few blocks from my office. I love that sliver of campus. Always have.
  10. Best new Italian restaurant in NYC in the last 2-3 billion years.
  11. Not very much. That's why I don't listen to the reviews and don't jump at every new thing.
  12. This is why I don't trust any restaurant reviewers at all. If it's a crapshoot whether the meal will be transcendent or relative garbage, what use is a review?
  13. Waaaaaaay ahead of you. I have a second one ready to go right now. Might pull the trigger.
  14. It's like the opposite restaurant than the one Rosner described in the New Yorker.

Have you been to the Bushwick location? I've always had great food from there.

@Sneakeater Ridgewood: Taqueria Al Pastor, considered one of Bushwick’s essential taco spots, has opened its latest outpost in Ridgewood. 55-30 Myrtle Avenue, at Putnam Avenue
  17. That's too bad. I'm sorry for the loss. The world is so small section-- Liz is a family friend and professional acquaintance of my Father and Grandfather. I have always admired her-- and now I know the source of some of her persuasive speeches.
  18. I had a huge crush on her in Mr Mom. Charles Grodin?
  19. Southpaw? Perhaps watching Jimmie Dale Gilmore and another guitarist under the mid summer stars on a porch in Southhampton might have been the most spectacular performance I was lucky enough to see. But, The Replacements reunion at Forest Hills Stadium and Guided by Voices 2nd time in ny playing at Threadwaxing Space had me convinced there were no better live bands. Husker Du was where I first got kicked in the face by a crowd surfer. Not great for someone with glasses to be blinded in the pit.
