Southpaw? Perhaps watching Jimmie Dale Gilmore and another guitarist under the mid summer stars on a porch in Southhampton might have been the most spectacular performance I was lucky enough to see. But, The Replacements reunion at Forest Hills Stadium and Guided by Voices 2nd time in ny playing at Threadwaxing Space had me convinced there were no better live bands. Husker Du was where I first got kicked in the face by a crowd surfer. Not great for someone with glasses to be blinded in the pit.
