The Tina Turner tribute weakest thing so far. It was lip synched and 20 or 30 dancers don’t have the impact of the original 3 (I think). The Wonder/Bennett thing was touching even if the director accidentally cut to Jimmy Buffet footage as Stevie started to sing.

Birkenhead I visited by taking the ferry ‘cross the Mersey from Liverpool but I never got off the other side. Hinds should consider Gerry and the Pacemakers covers. Ana singing “Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying” would make me very happy.

They are working on a Radiohead cover. Not sure about that. But they also just played Birmingham, a place I visited once in my life and got into a fight. Very strange for me to see these amazing stars selling out venues in places I would never dream of visiting.

Growing up, smoked haddock topped with an egg was a regular and unsurprising supper. Or the haddock diced into scrambled eggs. Different place. I can’t remember when I last ate it.
