Once upon a time the Yankees won the series playing small ball. But then the bought in to the idea of the long ball being the answer to everything and they forgot their fundamentals. My kid watched some of the games and was criticizing their defense.
Walked into the parking garage post hockey practice and the car was gone. Needless to say, I panicked - especially because I didn't pay for parking and I was afraid I was towed. Then it occurred to me to check the find my car app (I keep an apple tag in the car) and realized I was parked in a different aisle. I feel like a numbskull.
In '96, we went to see the play Taking Sides. Show ended, we ran out and found a bar on 8th Avenue just in time to see Charlie Hayes catch the pop fly to end Game 6 and have the Yanks clinch their first World Series since '78.
More holidays means more challah. The top two are stuffed with the honey braised apples and the one lower one (in the middle) has raisins. They're dark because I added some honey to the egg wash.
