    I'm genuinely excited about this one. Claro is a brand new (I went on opening night) Mexican restaurant in the former Pines space on Third Avenue in Gowanus, Brooklyn. It's one of those "accredited chef does ethnic food" places, this one run by T.J. Steele, formerly the Executive Sous Chef (whatever that means) at the Union Square Cafe, who has since relocated to Oaxaca, spending half the year there (one wonders whether he'll continue that now that he has a restaurant in Brooklyn) and helping run a Mezcal producer that he co-created. Baristanet reports that Mezoco, a new Mexican Taqueria serving traditional street food, will have its Grand Opening on Saturday, December 10, from 12 pm – 8 pm at the Walnut Street Train Station at 25 Depot Square. They will be sharing space with the Erie Saloon. At the Grand Opening, Mezoco will have a 1000 taco giveaway fundraiser to benefit the Community FoodBank of NJ.     This is a little Mexican restaurant on Norfolk St, just above Delancey. Not as little as Raclette, but pretty damn tiny. And on a Friday night, packed to the gills. I was dining by myself and had no reservation, so I hoped I could grab a seat at the bar. No such luck. I waited around for maybe 45 minutes until something opened up.     Chinantla 657 Myrtle Ave (718)222-1719 I have been to Chinantla a few times through the years. I first heard about this place the day I moved into my place. Some guy was delivering furniture to my house and he told me he lived right up the block.. He was from Mexico and he told me, that is where he goes to grab dinner and a beer sometime. I was intrigued.
