The Hit Parade updates so infrequently Johnny Hallyday probably had the hit song for both your birth date and your 18th birthday.

omigod - i love this game. of course i'm on deadline and can't stop looking up dates for everyone and everything.

 

birth....wanted by perry como.....

18th....a horse with no name by america.......that might not be good......hmmmm. will have to think about the words other than the been to desert refrain....

That's much better. I'll take"Stagger Lee" by Lloyd Price as my birthday song any day.

 

That IS much better. And I wish I had Stagger Lee. I love that song.

 

Of course, my 18th birthday was during the gap years.

 

But I was astounded to discover that "R&B" was even defined as a category in 1943. Had no idea.
