pepperedpalate
Do any of you know where I can find these Spice Jars? I called My India's and they don't sell them.... Thanks! Lori
flyfish
Never saw them before, but they are cute. Are they glass or lexan, do you think?
Rail Paul
They are very cute, but I wonder if the opening for the spoon allows moisture to enter the spice chamber? From the picture, I'd be a little concerned about that.

fantasty
Those are great! I've never seen them, but if you come up short the Container Store has a decent selection of spice jars.
flyfish
I called My India's and they don't sell them....Sounds like you might need to kick this further upstairs. If they have used this photo in their promotional material, the firm their PR people used to do the photo know where they came from or can find out (via a photographer or food stylist). It is in My India's best interest to sell the jars or at the very least to be able to say where they came from. Push harder and get an e-mail address for someone in their communications/PR department who can find out.

Lori Try to get them to tell you where they got them. Then take it from there. Oh, believe me, I tried. The woman with whom I spoke didn't have a clue. Not only does she not sell the jars at the store, but she couldn't give me any recommendations as to who might sell them. And while she didn't say as much, I suspect it's a stock photo that was pilfered from another site. Still, I am bound and determined to find these little suckers. As for promotional materials, that barely-there Web site is all they've got. Lori www.gastronaughty.typepad.com

From the picture, I'd be a little concerned about that. I know, aren't they so adorable? But, yes, I was wondering the same thing about the moisture issue. If I find them (my mission of the week), I'll let you know if that's a concern. Lori www.gastronaughty.typepad.com

Well, somebody set up those spice jars and took the photo... my point is somebody there must know where they came from.
Cathy
...unless the web designer just found an appropriate pic online.
mongo_jones
given that one of the two other pictures on the site is of amitabh bachchan and assorted other bombay stars i wouldn't hold out much hope for these pictures being in any way specific to the site. i'm friendly with the owner of the lafayette branch--who's branching off on his own any day now (i assume this is why the site only lists one location--and can ask him next time i'm there if he has any idea about this. for what it is worth, things shaped like this used to be more traditional (though my mother never had a fancy stainless steel one):
