Rebecca
I must occupy some kind of in-between on the remember scale around here. I remember stepping over bodies in the bathroom at the Fillmore East, and the crunch of glass as my boot heel shattered a used hypodermic. Btw, the Allman Brothers Live there is listening very well these days. I was on hand for one of those sets. You don't love me anymore? Edit: You Don't Love Me Anymore

There was a lot of stepping over and around.

ghostrider
In St. Louis we had Texas Bruce & his Wrangler's Club. He always signed off his shows with: "This is your old wrangler buddy Texas Bruce sayin hasta la vista vaqueros!" Nothing like a cowboy wrangler buddy, nosiree. wingding
I remember hearing Joe Brainard read 'I remember' at St. Marks Church on New Years day in 1976.It was memorable... Deep envy. That reading weas an all day thang....We were up in the balcony...and I remember it.Yoko Ono coming out in a long white dress and a toy ocean liner in her hand, and doing some nonsense with the boat going back and forth.and Robert Wilson bringing his autistic protege out on stage...and they kept saying 'the Sundance kid was beautiful' over and over,'til we thought we might go crazy.and Patti Smith saying 'The children of paradise are up in the balcony',cause people around us were drunk and crazy...and Allen Ginsberg...that's all that I remember from that day...Dem were the days.It was Fun,and I didn't have to pay for a reservation... fantasty
When children in LA played outside. When children anywhere played outside. I remember the day that my parents gave my sister and me house keys because they realized they had to start locking the door when no one was home. I remember when mine started to lock the doors, but I still don't have a key.
wingding
I remember being in the Peanut Gallery of the Howdy Doody Show when I was about 5 years old....it was the first moment of disillusionment with the world that I can recall.I thought that we could jump up and down and have unlimited Fun,but there were grown-ups on the sidelines telling us to shush or get happy at assigned moments. This wasn't what I'd bargained for..... foodie52
When my husband was a kid, he used to mow Soupy Sales's lawn. Now if THAT isn't a weird sentence, I don't know what is.
Maurice Naughton
I remember when mine started to lock the doors, but I still don't have a key. Me too. I was about five. Got back in when they let the dog out the next morning.
