johnnyd
NEW YORK (AP) -- Satellite radio rivals XM and Sirius say they have reached an agreement to merge. Speculation about a potential merger between the two companies has persisted for months, and analysts and company executives say such a deal could have significant cost savings. However, many remain skeptical that a deal would be able to pass regulatory scrutiny. NYT - 2/19/07 There are some anti-trust issues to work out but FCC looks like it will change the rules to make this happen. Gee, what came over them? Who subscribes to either of these? What's your opinion?
Ron Johnson
wonder what the new name will be? xirius? S&M radio?
Suzanne F
Cirius Cybernetics Corporation? (Serious Cybernetics is already taken) Possibly dumb question: what equipment does one need for either? Is it the same for both?
Kim
I love xm...have been a subscriber since Al Franken started on Air America..I've given up listening to that program, but I love the music channels, and they have one that is old time radio shows, I like that a lot too for a long drive. pete ganz
I bought XM, mainly for Ron & Fez. If they can offer more programming for less money, then I'm all for it. Somehow I doubt that will be the case though.
