California

I know California has a lot of coastline; I mean, I lived in Santa Barbara, have spent time in San Diego, Santa Cruz, Marin, etc.  but I just think the Sonoma coast is so beautiful. And driving around and through rural Sonoma county, you could easily be in another land.

At the mouth of the river, harbor seals haul out and have their pups.

To me, the whole coast around here is wonderful.  All of the coastline in my part of the East Coast is flat flat flat.  Over the weekend, we did some glorious driving and trail walking around Pacifica, Princeton Point, and Half Moon Bay.
