Steven Dilley
Click. Way too young. And let's not forget his great whisky writings.

helena
Tonight, two beers from a good PA brewery - Weyerbacher: Hop Infusion IPA and Double Simcoe IPA, the latter is one of the best of its kind, pretty much our house beer, ever since we got tired of Great Divide Hercules. Rail Paul
Tonight, two beers from a good PA brewery - Weyerbacher: Hop Infusion IPA and Double Simcoe IPA, the latter is one of the best of its kind, pretty much our house beer, ever since we got tired of Great Divide Hercules. The Double Simcoe is a very good brew. Weyerbacher allows purchases at the brewery in Easton on Saturdays. They apparently offer some brews which are in very limited circulation. g.johnson
Anyone else notice that Michael Jackson, beer guru, died? He was in Austin less than a year ago, teaching a class. Oh no, when did he die? The Brooklyn Brewery had a Beer University (that means a few classes) about five years ago and I went to a couple Michael Jackson classes. I'm pretty sure that he introduced me to lambics, among other things. And you forgave him?
Wilfrid1
Hey, I forgave him for Kronstadt.
rockdoggydog
Anyone else notice that Michael Jackson, beer guru, died? He was in Austin less than a year ago, teaching a class. Damn, he was a lot of fun when I met him last year. A gracious man and willing to answer all of my silly questions. Rocky

NeroW
Since we don't get Bell's in Chicago anymore I have found myself exploring other beers this summer besides the typical endless shining river of Oberon (FKA Solsun). For the past several days I have been drinking Allagash White.
mongo_jones
you think you can just waltz in here and throw out a random post about beer?
NeroW
No, I could have posted about whiskey. I've been drinking a fair amount of that as well.

SLBunge
Ran into this tonight: Minnesota Craft Beer Association Autumn Beer Review. Surly, August Schell, Summit and Pig's Eye represent the local scene. Non-Minnesota notables include Bell's and Milwaukee's Sprecher. I'm not a huge fan of these sorts of events but many seem to like them.
