Daisy
I walked past last weekend and it looked really, really close to opening. Any idea when that might be?

I've been reading the the new Noodle Bar will open sometime next week. Ko will have to be after that, of course and there's this: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/fbh/452659972.html
Sneakeater
Of course, those of us who are in one or the other Momofuku places all the time could just, like, ask them.

Sneakeater
OK. I will. If you want, I won't tell you what they tell me.

Ah - they'll just say "early winter" to anyone who asks - just like they tell eater. I think it's more fun to speculate on the kind of construction they're going to do in that space once Noodle Bar goes to college up the street.

spaetzle
Grub street is reporting that if the new noodle bar opens on Tuesday, then Ko will open on Wednesday. http://nymag.com/daily/food/2007/11/new_mo...hild.html#gs-hp This doesn't make sense to me. Ko will have 14 seats and Noodle Bar has 27. I would think there would be a little bit of construction to improve their kitchen space and utilize any extra space afforded by the reduction in seats. I thought I read somewhere that Ko would open sometime in December?

It had Cantina open when construction was still going on. Same deal with Bacaro.
