A Russ & Daughters brunch/lunch extravaganza: new Holland herring with onions, chopped herring salad, Gaspe smoked salmon, salmon tartare, and whitefish/baked salmon salad. Dessert was Green's babka and chocolate bread pudding made with bagels. Leftovers will be tomorrow's breakfast and probably Monday's lunch.

mmm . . . homemade salad nicoise. Brought the salad greens in one container, the boiled red bliss potatoes, green beans, assorted olives, cornichons and tuna fish mushed into another container, and small container of dressing made in part with the water from the tuna fish can. Mixed it all together, and voila! I was missing an egg and tomato but it was tasty, light and fresh. It was also healthy so I can feel sated and virtuous!

salad nicoise again, with the rest of the can of tuna fish. Today it's only OK- definitely a case of diminishing marginal returns. :)
