First snow day (and a bank holiday) inspired Epiphany lunch: 

- Celeriac and chestnut soup with créme fraîche and chives

- Belgian endive, pear, and roquefort salad with toasted hazelnuts and a champagne vinaigrette

- Black bread with butter and smoked salmon

It was meant to be brunch but we ate it at around 13:30 so more for this thread I guess...

homemade blini with a small tin of caviar I ordered as a backup for Christmas brunch. The German equivalent of smetana. 
North Sea shrimp salad, smoked salmon, a cherry tomato and mini burrata salad...

Mr. B opened the last bottle of Sekt he has insisted since two years isn’t oxidized. It is very oxidized. He didn’t even finish his glass (but still claims it’s not oxidized.) On the plus side, the thing is finally out of the fridge. I can pour it down the drain in a few days and we shall never speak of it again.
