Although WE would enjoy that, I am not sure it "translates" to the screen, in a way that the average viewer would find interesting.

Photos permitted at Corton? Yes, if you're Tina Wong. But then, her photos are really good.

Did they have a strict no photos policy for a while? Looks like it's changed if so.

AFAIK, the only restaurants with no photo policies are BK Fare and Ko. I think you're right, Corton did have some policy early on, but I believe that went away a while back when they were struggling post post-review period. Remember when Lincoln claimed it wouldn't allow photography? That didn't even last through F&F...

Oh I know. So does this widely reported "no photos" policy wax and wane, or are some photographers given special license?

 

When we were at Corton with u.e. in May 2009, photos were permitted with no restrictions. Shortly after that, they instituted a strict no photo policy, so that when we went back in September with our daughter and son-in-law, I took no photos of that dinner. (They did provide me a copy of our menu and wine pairings.) The ban was lifted sometime in 2010 though the policy is no flash allowed.
