We have threads for annoyances and what made us cheerful, but then there's those weird things that happen.....   My workplace is particularly fertile ground for the surreal. 2 current examples:

Yeah, me too.   As soon as I'm a real member, I'll upload a real avatar.   Or did you mean my sig?

Not only seeing a high-speed chase between an SUV and cop car while walking through my sleepy neighborhood this morning, but seeing it twice, as the SUV took the cops on a loop around before heading towards the local university and eventually crashing.  I could follow the chase with my ears for those few minutes.

News came out today that a guy I knew from sleep away camp with has been charge with a decade-long bank and securities fraud scheme. He was a complete and total asshole 40 years ago so it seems he hasn't changed much over the decades.

She also says she's a public school teacher, and had this to say to the Daily News:

When asked if she was concerned about the video going viral, she said, “It’s actually great, because they’re forcing people in New York City to wear masks. It’s political theater. I don’t believe in COVID-19. It’s a hoax to convince people to use absentee ballots to steal the election from Donald Trump.”

This is really scary, if it fails to be surprising.   I assume that biases can be exhibited or even supported.at parochial schools but naively hope that public schools are politically neutral.

I have a friend who is consumed by afflictions and claims medical exemption form wearing a mask.     I bite my tongue as she describes how she is impaired by a mask.   SUCK IT UP!   WE ALL ARE!
