We have threads for annoyances and what made us cheerful, but then there's those weird things that happen.....   My workplace is particularly fertile ground for the surreal. 2 current examples:

ABBA: The Movie has some dumb comedy subplot which I can’t even remember but which the band is aloof from, and a lot of live performance. Of course, all four were veteran live performers so they know how to tear it up. Not arguing with you about studio v live.

While we’re reminiscing, the first time I and many other people knew ABBA existed was the live broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. This show was pretty much a standing joke; you watched to laugh at the horrible performances and see the UK entry inexplicably fail to win.

Then ABBA exploded with “Waterloo,” not their greatest song but a performance of such quality that they became instant stars for a European audience.

ABBA - just no.  Although I watched Mamma Mia AND the sequel.

Jethro Tull - worse.

Beach Boys - yes.  I still listen to Wild Honey, Pet Sounds, Smiley Smile, Sunflower & Surf’s Up as some here would listen to classical stuff.  Mike Love should just go away.
