This is one of the funniest lines I've read in a long time. Kind of like, "I'm going in for gall bladder surgery." splinky
just completed killer vacation, where i did none of the stuff on my list but was super happy to do what came up in the course of just chillaxing, only to end up getting sick on the way home.
Wilfrid
Just did my first business trip in living memory. Got sick on the way home. And managed to get someone else sick while I was there before my symptoms set in.

Wilfrid
I like them. I think I have to go to San Diego. I enjoy flying and waking up in a new hotel every day. But preferably without the “We can rebook you on another flight but not today or tomorrow.”

Has it become customary for librarians to have loud, lengthy conversations with whoever walks through the front door? Didn't libraries used to be quiet? I can't hear myself think. I'm starting to think everyone in Margaretville may be hard of hearing.

I hate to deliver bad news but it seems that climate change is causing allergy season to lengthen. The increase in CO2 can stimulate the growth of plants and ragweed is one that responds very well. Wilfrid
So three nights in an inexpensive hotel in San Diego. By the time I am flying home I have developed two swollen bug bites on my forehead and one on the back of my neck. Oh shit, bed bugs? So these bites continue to be gross over the next 48 hours, but treated with hydrocortisone they cleared up. But. Absolutely no bites below my neck. And if it was bed bugs I’d be gnawed all over. A bad reaction to mosquito bites? Something else? Who knows?
voyager
Our MD said that bedbugs bite in threes. Three bites close together. In the trade, called "breakfast, lunch and dinner". Are yours so arranged? The bites are of no consequence BUT BRINGING THEM INTO YOUR HOME is catastrophic. If you are in doubt, read up on them and treat your luggage accordingly. Like many say, possibly just abandon it!
Wilfrid
Lordy after all these years I know about what to do, but thank you. But I have never had a bed bug experience where after three nights in an infected space, no bites below the neck. Perhaps this was a solo bed bug disdaining crude feasting on the squishier body parts?

Spray all sorts of nasty insecticides on your luggage. Or toss it.
