joethefoodie
Sativa? Or blow? I hope not meth. P.S. - that technology left your picture out.
Chambolle
Just life … and oxygen, man … that’s all I need Pic showed fine on me PC … but indeed on iPhone the pic was not present and accounted for … but now it is off to Monet - Mitchell maintenant … bonne journée à tous ! C’est un peu ennuyeux que La Fond LV est assez loin mais bon … c’est La Vie au Centre de Paris-ah
joethefoodie
Whew - I was getting worried about you! Loved La Fond LV, but decided to do the Musée Marmottan Monet on our recent trip. To see...https://www.marmottan.fr/expositions/face-au-soleil/ Was pretty great.
StephanieL
Chambo my dear, I'm afraid you might be confusing with one of the many other folk here, as I spent Halloween sitting at home, watching TV and doling out candy to the few trick-or-treaters who bothered to show up. We still have leftover candy if you're feeling deprived.

That’s such a sweet offer (I’m not worthy ... I’m not worthy 🙇♂️) ... but I have one more secret share … surprisingly, Sweet Little Chambo isn’t big into sweets 🤷♂️ On 1/23/2023 at 12:10 AM, StephanieL said: Chambo my dear, I'm afraid you might be confusing with one of the many other folk here Nope ... cuz Sweet Little Chambo, as you should surely know, is elephantine in the memory department … so I ain't not confusing nuttin ! And think for a moment, Steph, how could I, or anyone, confuse you for anyone else … non non non ça fait aucun sens … car tu es inoubliable … so peut-être you are missing the full context of my link to your post that He Hath Returned !! Let me be of help ... on’t you remember that we* were having an in-depth chat about your kitchen and we were deep into the planning of our Halloween dinner feast together and I was even offering to bring the protein and liquid refreshments and I was just waiting on you for the formal invite and whether you were planning to do a simple red sauce or une sauce beurre blanc ou citron, ou une sauce Périgueux ou à la Royale or whatever creative concoction caught your fancy … and then … and then … 😕😔😔😔☹️ … radio silence … gosh, that was such a bummer … but like I said I’m totally over it ! and quite frankly I barely even remember it happening 😀 … so we’re good … we’re totally good ! Anyway, Steph, any plans this Easter ? * Ok, so maybe it was I was and not we were … but whatever
StephanieL
Ah, I have such a faulty memory....and a short attention span. ;-) The kitchen is done, and we keep uncovering all of the mistakes the contractor made. As for Easter, I'll be having a cross-religious meal of lamb and matzoh.
Evelyn
Gotta love it when a flight attendant says to you you as you are boarding your flight "wow, you look really tired" 😡. Bad news was, she was absolutely correct 😞.
Sneakeater
Wait till you’re my age. “Would you like me to help you walk five steps, sir?” ”Don’t people usually have hair?”

Party time ! Uggh clueless contractors ... but you're way ahead of me ... and at least they showed up And gosh, Steph, did you ever hit the nail on the head with just how ANNOYING contractors can be ! Quite frankly, I wouldn’t mind putting a nail through the head of a contactor right now ! You’d almost think … that contractors think … that they are a highly endangered species and they need to be protected … from showing up when expected … in the flesh and blood. I mean they aren’t going to be killed, my prior deviant thoughts aside … they’re just going to be paid, handsomely … and best I can tell they’re the ones making a killing … it’s plunder with a plonger … but whatever … Steph, you know what the French word for contactor is ? Get this … it’s entrepreneur ! How’s that for an effing farce à la française ! Why do I say that ? Almost all my friends are entrepreneurs … heck, even Sweet Little Chambo might qualify as one … and you know what characteristics almost all entrepreneurs exhibit in my experience ? They never make excuses, they work extremely hard and they just get the damn job done and it gets done pretty darn well* ! As a matter of fact, les entrepreneurs français are like the anti-matter version of American entrepreneurs ! Why ? because ... They only make excuses. The only thing they work hard at is making those excuses. And not only do they not get the job done … in fact, it’s worse than that … these anti-entreprenuers français don’t even show up ! They simply don't show up ! and they make believe their supplies didn't show up, supply chain blah bidy blah and blah blah effing blah ! Uhhhhhh, I’m sorry, my blood is starting to boil … I’m gonna go get a drink now … a stiff one ... I'm looking forward to a day far in the future when I too can be frowning about finding all the faults in the floors and doors and their chores ... but that's a day in a galaxy far far away for and from me * well, unless they need to pivot, of course ... but that's a whole 'nother course that I don't have time to lecture on right now
Evelyn
I’m going to lump a couple together. They both fall into the “assholes” category. Currently, airplane seatmate who has take his shoes off and continually rubs his smelly sock covered feet. Including during lunch service while I was still eating. Low class asshole. And this morning (not that the coming behavior is limited to this morning unfortunately). People who are leaving the hotel at 3:30 am to catch (I presume 6:00 am) flights. Who cannot be bothered to softly shut the door to their room on the way out. And just let it slam. Between 3:30 and 5:00 am, this happened 7 times. Just rude. And in a nice hotel. Not a chain 🤬🤬🤬🤬

There's a rabbi who lives on my floor and leaves very early for shul every morning, often with one or more of his sons. They used to do this also, 'til I complained about it, first to them, and then to our building's management office (this worked). I don't know what's in some people's heads, I really don't.

Evelyn
Update: asshole took of his sock. Rubbing his foot again. Absolutely disgusting. As my Mother always said “class and breeding will tell”. Totally classless. And I feel really sorry for the next person who gets his seat. Because he his putting the same hands he is rubbing on his feet, on the video screen. Note to self-when leaving the plane, do not touch any surface he has touched. GRADE A ASSHOLE!!!!
