I started a core training class last night. One hour of some really intense crazy-assed core strengthening exercises with a complete (but very knowledgeable) lunatic. This morning I feel like I got the shit kicked out of me, but, you know, in a good way.

soccer practice. Only 4 of us so we did some drills. I learned how to trap the ball and how to get it off the ground when I kick it and we practiced throwing in (which is hard!). Then a 3 on 3 scrimmage with 2 other Zog sports players we ran into. Lots of running. WAY more fun than the gym.

Hey, It's a NEW YEAR!

I took a bit of time off from the gym over the holidays..3 weeks to be exact.

I rode my new bike in Florida - that's all.

So its back to the gym.

Yesterday,

45 min elliptical level 15...starting easy, hill course.

Today, more cardio

45 min on the step mill level 14- really tough.

It's amazing how fast your cardio conditioning goes...

Ugh. Good for you.

I'd gotten on a slick routine of three days a week (45 min. cardio + 45 min. weights) plus a one-hour core training class. Haven't been in three weeks and work keeps holding me back. I promise myself to get back before the end of the week.

I haven't been in the pool in almost three weeks because I had a torn earlobe surgically repaired (and no, Mike Tyson had nothing to do with it) and was told not to get the world's smallest bandage wet. I feel like a slug.
