Published in 1960 when the Scandinavian Airlines Systems was considered one of the world's great carriers, this book re-prints famous recipes from the world's finest restaurants during that time period. Thirty-five plus countries and 60 plus cities are represented - the entire flight plan of SAS at the time. It was purchased for $4 at the online thrift shop and it is one of the top cookbooks ever written and published IMO - will be cooking from this for years. Urge everyone to pick up a copy - not just for the recipes but for the intriguing narrative and reviews as well. just purchased for 11 dollars with shipping included... But it looks like a glossy chefs cookbook. There is a Ladakhi cookbook I picked up I think from Kitchen Art&Letters. "Ladakhi Kitchen". Super interesting, written by the woman's alliance of Ladakh. joethefoodie Posted January 2, 2021 Share Posted January 2, 2021 Anyone have this book? It made a lot of the top ten 2020 blah blah blah cookbook lists. Edd is a winner of that show everyone seems to love - The Great British Baking Show, and which I must get around to watching at some point. But the thing that really intrigues me, and which I wish ALL cookbook authors would do, is the measurements for all the recipes included are in metric, imperial, AND volume. How nice is that!
