I don’t think this place ever had a thread of it’s own but orik and maybe someone else praised it somewhere here, and it was very high up in the wells rankings this year…

anyways absolutely killer meal here tonight. I liked everything we had. snails stuffed with pork and snail, egg plant with a sauce of poached egg and soy, terrific prawns with a creamy green peppercorn sauce, and finally intestines, blood sausage, pork belly, tofu, noodles, and fermented rice and pork sausage with a slightly sweet fermented shrimp sauce. really nice tamarind and pineapple drink too. 
 

only possible complaint is that they were sold out of half the menu at eight. a bargain at $53 a head.

I contributed to the Mam Kickstarter, to help them expand into the storefront next door. Last night I went to cash in. I brought take out containers, 'cause Mam has no air conditioning, and I had dm'd in advance to make sure there would be enough things I could eat. Well, there were enough things. Grilled eggplant, giant prawns, scallops with tofu and soft egg (consumed on site, because the owner did not think it would travel well) and mixed mushrooms.

The unboxing. Came with a lotta leaves! All kinds of leaves.

The plating (this is half of what I received). Everything was excellent, with the exception of the pickled wood ears, which were just okay, and that orange sauce, which tasted like sriracha mayo and I expect more interesting things from Mam.

And I've got $5 left over for a soy drink next visit or whatever!

We dined in on the same evening and dripping sweat into the food was a real asian-tropical experience
