Wilfrid
Aged 87. And it was either earlier this year or late last year I saw a gallery on 5th Avenue near Bergdorf stuffed, absolutely stuffed floor to ceiling with his prolific production. His work has been something I've seen constantly in this city for a quarter of a century and the seminal book "Working Spaces" taught me so much about how to look at art. Just to make it smart a little more, the New Yorker has a short obituary in its files by Schjeldahl, who of course missed this.
Steve R.
In the mid '80s, I used to play squash with him at the now defunct Park Place Squash club. The club had tournaments that featured his art on the posters & he offered to sign one to the winner of each division. A friend of mine won one of the divisions & opted for the club's offer of some cash instead. I told him that he was a fool. I still have several of those posters, unfortunately unsigned. RIP Frank. backyardchef
My brother went to school with his offspring. Had not idea he was still alive. Hadn't even thought of him in decades.

I think Steve R and I have a number of racquet sport relatives. I think of @Steve R. more often than he would probably be comfortable knowing.
