I read her A LOT back in my writing days and in college. A giant of contemporary American fiction. Prolific. Consistent. Hugely influential. Her presence was everywhere in the writing workshops of the mid 90s.

"Contemporary American Fiction" was drilled into my brain at University and when I taught and wrote it was the main subject. I can't believe it is still what comes out when I type Contemporary and I know that word fiction is coming up next.....
