Rich
I see they like to serve honey with it. Is that a Southern thing, or just an American thing? Not sure - the honey is on the side and it is "spiced." I really didn't use it - just a taste. However the two biscuits that came with the order were moist, flaky with a nice flavor. One of the better biscuits around.
Daisy
Putting honey on the biscuits served with fried chicken, not the chicken, is a southern thing. ETA: I should have said it started out as a southern thing but seems to have gone further afield.
Wilfrid
Blue Ribbon had a range of spiced/flavored honeys. There was something on the signage about "slathering" the chicken, but yes, makes more sense on the biscuit. Nice honey butter at Hybird. Obviously for the biscuit. Suzanne F
Good to see that the fried chicken at Riverpark is a) still there and b) still good. That's what I had my first time there, a lunch the day the Times review came out. I thought it was outstanding, as were the biscuits, and both were still fine the next day. Rich
It's also nice they allow the bar menu to be offered in the dining room.
joethefoodie
It's actually kind of a grown-up restaurant. Nothing wrong with that.

Rich
Arguably the most underrated restaurant in the city. It gets no play anywhere, yet is quite full most nights.

In spite of being in the wrong neighborhood. Or rather, no neighborhood at all, at least not one with a name. Should we call it FaWQ (Far Western Queens)?

Wilfrid
I was just thinking, in terms of people who don't know about River Park finding out about it.
