Bonner's post reminds me that my brother is coming into to town next month and we're doing a cousins dinner which means it will fall on me to pick a place. Finding a reasonably priced kosher place is a challenge if you want to stay in Manhattan. And my Manhattan cousins are unlikely to want to travel to Brooklyn.

Will they accept vegan food? My kosher friend is okay with it. Because I'm not paying $37 for an arugula salad at Wolf & Lamb or whatever they have the chutzpah to charge these days.

I have a couple of cousins who won't (and a spouse who will accept it reluctantly if there are no kosher options such as when we were in Springfield, MA last month).
