Sneakeater
They reopened on my birthday last Fall. A good time was had by all. (Daniel Rose was still generally around then, though. Don’t know how things are with his diverting his attention to Chicago.)

Wilfrid
Simple answer is various meals at Le Crocodile. Longer and sadder answer, best restaurant meals of the last two years have been in places like Providence and Baltimore. New York has presented plenty of disappointments like Lord's. Les Trois Chevaux and Little Mad both served some good food, but my main memory of the former is the size of the check; of the latter, the ridiculously uncomfortable bar seating. I wish I had been to L'Abeille. I mention it only in the spirit of a spelling correction. #pedant

Chambers Artesano (Ok, I cheated. Went during soft opening with a limited number of menu items. Food we had was very good and the drinks were exceptional. Would love to go back when menu is expanded.) And for the ladies, note chef Rodrigo Fernandini was Mr. Peru in 2012. My wife was very happy there is an open kitchen here. Wilfrid
I just remembered, I liked the food, service and atmosphere at Francie. The drawback there is how limited the main course choice is unless you're with a fellow meat eater who wants to share something big and expensive. (If I ate pasta maybe, but really I don't; my problem, I know.) Right now it's the token veg dish, trout or porchetini - something unknown to Google except as it appears on Francie's menu. I assume some kind of porchetta.

Wilfrid
Yeah, not quite a main course.
Orik
I wanted to put turtlelini on the menu but turtle supply is off.
sweatshorts
Where should two people walk in for dinner tonight in Clinton Hill? Place des Fetes? Lulu and Po? I'm so out of the loop.
Sneakeater
Def Place des Fetes if you like that sort of thing. (Meaning good food served in the current chaotic what's-a-course? style.)
Sneakeater
(Not that it's all that easy to walk in there.)
