Ticonderoga Club. Not easy to find, hidden in the back of a kind of hip market, but worth it. Service was exceptional from my phone call* (“Sure, c’mon in”) to the presentation of digestifs.

Food very good, although the porchetta was a bit of a challenge after the tartare and sweetbreads. Good drink list (I started with ice cold Fino, often listed less often found).

And all this in a rough and ready multi-level dive bar.

*Their online reservations are for 2 and up.
