StephanieL
I remember the first (and only) time I tried cola champagne. It tasted like neither... Do you mean Inca Kola? I dislike it intensely--a sugar bomb that tastes like a cross between cream soda and bubble gum.
SLBunge
I like Sanbitter with ice and a squeeze of lime. Not as bitter as a Campari with soda. Chinotto is even better. Sort of a bitter cola. When I lived in Boston I could find both of them fairly easily. I should poke around and see if I can find them here in MN.
Sneakeater
No, he means Cola Champagne (from I think Jamaica). I remember the first time I had it, too. I couldn't believe it. I mean, how could anything called "Cola Champagne" not be great? Inca Cola I expected to be as bad as it was.
cristina
Boing, the people's non-carbonated soft drink made in Mexico with real fruit juice.
FoodDabbler
(Useless post) They serve Thumbs Up and Limca in this pop-up Bombay street food place at the Festival Theater in the South Bank of London. It's never useless to make Thums Up talk, especially if it includes invective aimed at the Coca Cola company for making the soda less distinctive than it once was. (Instead, I had a really delicious and refreshing Gola [ices] called a Kala Khatta.) Appropriately black and tart, I hope.
